In November every year, the Gold Coast Area Theatre Awards Convenor contacts theatre groups and high schools and colleges in the areas to be included in the award catchment area. The potential participants will be sent:
  • a Registration Form to complete and send back to the Convenor.
  • a list of Judges and an outline of the judging criteria to be employed.
  • a list of the categories to be judged.
All participating groups in the Awards will be required to pay an Administration Fee of $50.00 per year which will cover costs associated with the overnight accommodation of judges where they are attending performances more than 2 hours drive away from the Gold Coast, and other items like office expenses and the awards themselves.

This once-yearly fee will cover ALL shows judged during that year - whether the group stages one, two or ten productions.

The participating organisations will be required to submit their yearly program in advance, and agree to make available a minimum of two (2) pairs of tickets for each production, plus a program for each judge attending.
